Hello! My name is Chloe and I'm a junior graphic designer with a minor in studio art. I'm from a small town in eastern Ohio, right down by the Ohio River. In addition to art, I love reading, playing piano, singing, and, of course, writing! While creative writing can be one of the most fun kinds of writing, I also love the research side of writing because of all the many things you get to learn about through research. That is one of the reasons I am excited to get to help you all in your own writing! We all learn so much here at Cedarville and I can't wait to help you show off what you know!

Hi! My name is Alex! I’m from Upstate New York and I’m a sophomore majoring in Political Science and International Studies. I have always had a passion for writing and the unique ways that we can use it to share our stories and express ourselves. When I am not doing homework I enjoy getting outside, spending time with friends, reading, or drinking a good cup of coffee. Some of my favorite books are Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, and Educated by Tara Westover. Hi! I’m Anna, a junior English major from the suburbs of Chicago. I am an avid reader, and I enjoy writing too, especially poetry and creative nonfiction! What I love most about writing is that it allows people to share their unique voices and perspectives with the world. Hello, my name is Sophia! I’m a senior English major from Long Island, New York and I’ve loved reading ever since I learned how to. Growing up, I would read any and every fiction book that my local library could give me. Some of my favorite novels include Pride and Prejudice, The Hobbit, and The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. Aside from reading, I also enjoy playing flute, crocheting, baking, and, of course, writing. In the last few years, I have grown to appreciate more and more just how important written language is, and I am excited to have the privilege of collaborating with you on your writing endeavors!

Hi, I'm Madie! I'm a junior in Spanish Education. I absolutely love writing, especially creative writing and composition papers. What I love most about writing is its ability to express. Hey there! My name is Gabrielle Cox! I am a junior in accelerated biblical studies. Reading and writing has always been an important pastime for me, just as much as meeting new people and encouraging others. I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised upstate in the Catskill mountains spending time in rain or shine, theatre and choir, and swim and golf. I enjoy researching and brainstorming ideas for the outline, coherently threading thoughts together while writing, and problem solving during the editing process. Hello! My name is Julia DePalmo! I am a senior linguistics major with concentrations in Biblical languages and TESOL. I grew up in Upstate New York doing musical theater and playing soccer. Nowadays, when I’m not studying, you will probably find me chasing a sunset, spending time with friends, going on adventures outside, or reading a good book. The Mysterious Benedict Society series is my absolute favorite, but I also love The Hiding Place. I received a Bachelor of Science in environmental science in August 2024 and returned to Cedarville to pursue (even) higher education! I hope to eventually pursue vocational ministry, Lord willing. I love the outdoors, wilderness, backpacking, etc. I am passionate about theology and the study of God's Word, but I also love reading, writing, and editing. I absolutely adore reading and writing in all genres, but I'm particularly fascinated by classic literature and poetry. When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me studying in the library, not studying in line at Rinnova, or playing cards with friends! Hello! My name is Katherine, and I’m a senior studying communication and biblical counseling. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, spending time in worship, and rock climbing! I’ve been passionate about reading and writing ever since I was very young, and one of my favorite things about writing is the process of describing ideas and emotions. I’m always amazed at how God gave us the gift of language to be able to connect with one another, whether through speeches, writing, or conversation. Hey y’all! My name is Anna Mark, I am in my junior year and double majoring in English and Spanish! I grew up in the village of Cedarville, which explains why I especially love language and literature because of the way it allows me to learn about more of the world outside our bubble! If I am not reading for a class you will probably find me working as a barista at Beans or vibing with my friends at the gym. I can't wait to help you with whatever project you’re working on!

I have always loved writing. I can remember sitting at my family computer over a decade ago, hoping my 10-page story about knights would turn into a best-selling book series with several movie adaptations. All these years later, I am a junior Accelerated Biblical Studies student who never finished writing that book. But I still love using words to communicate the beauty I see in God’s creation and share the lessons He is teaching me! When I am not writing, I love to play guitar, hike, pet any dogs larger than a chihuahua, read novels or theology books, do virtually anything with my friends or family, or talk with anyone I meet throughout my day. When I'm at the Writing Center, I try to make appointments with me as conversational as possible, with lots of questions and back-and-forth. I love learning together with everyone I get to work with, and I look forward to meeting you!

Hello! My name is Abigail and I am a junior English major from St. Louis, Missouri! I have a minor in German and am pursuing minors in Editing and Publishing, Bible and Honors, as well as a Creative Writing concentration. Reading has always been my passion, and I specifically love fantasy, dystopian, and thrillers. Some of my favorite books include anything by Jane Austen, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and Anne Brontë's The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. I also have been creatively writing since I was eight years old, and hope to see my fantasy series in progress in bookstores one day! When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me binge-watching TV shows, snuggling with my dog, or spending time in nature. Though I am particularly fond of creative writing, I also love academic writing and am excited to broaden my horizons by working with different kinds of papers. Hello there! I'm Sophia (Sophie) Monastra, and I'm a former environmental science major and current senior professional writing and information design major. In the Writing Center, I tend to focus on paper organization and flow. It's been a while since I've used citation styles, and if I don't know the answer, I can track down someone who does. In my spare time, I create comics, write for the student newspaper, and ramble on about my many weird hobbies and interests.

I love Chesterton, Tolkien, Dickens, Austen, Fitzgerald, and Dostoevsky, just to name a few. I also love poetry, especially modern and postmodern poetry. These kinds of stories have fundamentally influenced my own style of creative writing and inspired me in enjoyable ways such as working on my own fantasy novel series, The Warlock Mantle. In addition to writing, I enjoy roller coasters and theme parks, playing the drums, and lifting. If I’m not in Tyler, you’ll probably find me in the gym or studying in one of the many buildings around campus. My specialties when it comes to writing are organizing thoughts and outlines, coming up with a concrete thesis and reviewing the paper to ensure its logical cohesion.
