Program Overview

MDiv + MBA Program Highlights

Career-Expanding â€” By adding an MBA to your MDiv, you increase your qualifications for leadership roles in churches, parachurch ministries, global missions, and nonprofit businesses. You’ll be equipped to navigate complex organizational challenges, lead teams, and manage resources with excellence — all while cultivating biblical leadership skills and preparing for effective ministry in diverse contexts.

Cost-Effective  â€” The dual-degree pathway allows you to apply select MDiv courses toward your MBA requirements, reducing the total number of credit hours needed. This integration streamlines your academic journey, saving both time and tuition compared to pursuing the degrees separately.

Biblical  â€” Cedarville’s unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture is central to both the MDiv and MBA programs. You’ll study theology, ministry, and business through a distinctly biblical lens — one that emphasizes godly leadership, wise stewardship, ethical decision-making, and Kingdom-focused influence. This integrated approach equips you to lead with conviction in both ministry and marketplace settings, making an eternal impact wherever God calls you to serve.

Program Curriculum

The MDiv + MBA at Cedarville equips you with theological depth and business acumen for leadership in ministry and the marketplace. The MDiv includes up to 79 credit hours of coursework, with core studies in Old and New Testament, Christian theology, Hebrew and Greek, and over 30 hours of practical ministry training. Students also complete a ministry internship and choose a focus area, such as pastoral leadership or worship.

Through the dual-degree pathway, nine hours of MBA coursework count toward MDiv electives, while select MDiv courses — like Pastoral Leadership and Global Theology — fulfill MBA concentration requirements. This efficient integration allows you to earn both degrees with fewer total credits, preparing you to lead with excellence and biblical conviction.
