Our Career Services office offers several  free resources to help students choose a major that aligns with their talents and calling: 

• MyPlan: This website offers assessments to help your student understand their personality, strengths, interests, and values, all free with Cedarville’s license code! 
• Myers-Briggs: This free assessment allows your student to understand their personality type and explore career options that would best fit their personality. 
• O-Net Online: This website helps your student discover jobs that fit within their area of interest. 
• Occupational Outlook Handbook: An official United States government resource, this handbook contains information on careers in the United States and the working environment, education, and salaries associated with each type of job. 
  

Ï㽶ֱ²¥Campus Visit: Explore Major Options in Person 

Another great option for choosing a major? Come visit campus! One great way to explore a potential major is attending an Academic Preview Day.  

When your student comes to an Academic Preview Day, they will get to experience first-hand what it is like to attend Cedarville University. You’ll enjoy a tour of Cedarville’s beautiful campus, attend classes in your student’s area of interest, and talk with faculty and current students. 

Come join us for an Academic Preview Day in any of the following areas of interest: 

• Business and Communication 
• Engineering and Computer Science 
• Healthcare Exploration 
• Industrial and Innovative Design 
• Nursing 
• Pharmacy 
• Science and Math 
• Theatre 

In fact, one of our first Academic Preview Days of the year is coming up soon! 

If your student is interested in pursuing a healthcare-related major in college, don't miss Cedarville's Healthcare Exploration Day on Friday, September 19. 

At Healthcare Exploration Day, students will hear an overview of all of Cedarville's healthcare-related programs. Then, they'll choose two programs to explore in depth, including hearing from faculty members and touring our facilities.
