Cyberattacks are on the rise.
Earlier this year, an attack occurred within the Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio. And, with cybercriminals finding increasingly sophisticated methods of attack, there’s no indication other organizations or individuals will be safe.
That’s why Adam Dyer, Cedarville University’s Information Security Analyst, is actively working to equip others with online protection tools and the knowledge to defend themselves.
He recently formed a new cybersecurity business, , that helps nonprofit organizations pursue cyberprotection.
“It is our mission to help individuals and organizations better understand how to protect themselves against cyber attacks,” said Dyer.
Dyer is joined by Anna Kauffmann and Ariella Vanderlaan — both 2025 graduates of Cedarville’s cyber operations program. While CyberWeb specializes in in-person cybersecurity training, they also offer cybersecurity policy management, local network protection and incident response services. Their goal is to help nonprofits, churches and small businesses with their cybersecurity needs. CyberWeb has four tiers the customer can choose from, ranging from an essential defense to comprehensive defense, which includes expert security monitoring, 24/7 incident response and annual penetration testing, for $1000 a month. It also offers some free one-time resources.
Though the company has just launched, it already has plans to broaden its reach and expand the company. One plan is to hire cybersecurity trainers in other cities and states to expand its in-person workshops outside of the Greater Dayton, Ohio, area.
CyberWeb has recognized the dangers smaller organizations face in an increasing digital world, and they have answered the call to keep people safe and are empowering them to protect themselves.
