One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

by Allison Craft, Student Public Relations Writer

As universities across the nation begin classes, students are already making preparations to help launch their professional careers.

Cedarville University students are preparing for senior projects, fine-tuning their resumes and setting up interviews with prospective employers. They’re also taking advantage of Cedarville’s career services office, which helps students turn a job opportunity into a future career.

From a student’s first semester at Cedarville, Jeff Reep, director of career services, and members of his team are encouraging students to focus on preparing for life after college. They offer resume writing and interview preparation services for freshmen to seniors.  Reep’s staff also helps the younger students navigate their career preparation, so they are ready for interviews and contract negotiations.

“Our goal is to have a personalized approach for every student and every situation” says Cam Arminio, associate director of career services. “Everyone in our office, including student workers, are trained to help students in their pursuit of what’s next on their career path.”

Career Services helps students land jobs with mock interview preparation. Many students have found success in their careers and education through the services this team provided. 2025 graduate and computer science major, Christian Eppich, landed a job with IBM after graduation. Eppich credits Cedarville’s career services staff for preparing him through mock interviews. They even provided him with a professional location in which to host his online interview.

“While the professors help make sure you are prepared in your field of study, career services can help round out the soft skills,” says Eppich.

Career services also works to introduce students to employers and graduate institutions. There office hosts multiple career and education fairs every year, allowing employers and students to connect. More than 200 employers, including Honda, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Reynolds and Reynolds, U.S. Navy Nuclear Program and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are frequently represented.
