Cedarville University will hold Science and Math Preview Day for prospective students on Thursday, Sept. 15. The event begins at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 6 p.m. As part of the event, visiting students and their families will have special access to the creation conference held on campus Sept. 15鈥16.
鈥淧rospective science and math majors should be excited about this event because they will learn from some of the best minds on the topic of creation and evolutionary science,鈥 said Dr. Dennis Flentge, chair of the mathematics and science department. 鈥淲e not only teach creationism, we also teach students to understand evolutionary arguments because it鈥檚 important for students to know both sides of the topic.鈥
The visit day includes a tour of Cedarville鈥檚 math and science labs and lectures by expert creationist scientists Ken Ham and Dr. Georgia Purdom from . Purdom, a 1994 Cedarville graduate, will answer questions from students during a private lunch.
鈥淎ll of our other visit days are open to any prospective student,鈥 said Brian Fanelli, Cedarville鈥檚 associate director of admission 鈥 guest services, 鈥渂ut this day is specifically for students interested in science and math fields.鈥
