Cedarville University will welcome more than 800 junior high and high school students to campus for its annual CedarMania conference on Saturday, March 19.
One of the largest events of the year at Cedarville, the conference regularly attracts students from around the country to enjoy a day full of spiritual challenge and worship in a fun, high-energy setting.
The theme of this year鈥檚 CedarMania is 鈥淩edeem,鈥 and students will hear from Rob Turner, Ph.D., associate professor of Bible and teaching lead at Apex Community Church in Dayton, Ohio. Turner will speak about the cause and effect that God鈥檚 free gift of redemption has on our lives.
In addition to Turner鈥檚 morning and afternoon messages, attendees will have the chance to learn throughout the day in small-group sessions, as well as participate in group activities and games. Worship sessions will be led by HeartSong, Cedarville鈥檚 traveling worship band.
CedarMania also serves as an opportunity for Cedarville students to minister to others as small-group leaders and activity coordinators. Nearly 300 students volunteer to help at CedarMania each year and see their own lives changed by the event.
鈥淪erving as a small-group leader for CedarMania grew my perspective on leadership and ministry,鈥 said Amy Searl, a sophomore history and political science major from Rineyville, Kentucky, who has volunteered at the event before. 鈥淚鈥檝e had the opportunity to engage in deep discussions with students about the Gospel and walked away as challenged in my love for God as the students we minister to.鈥
Registration is open until March 10 and can be completed online at cedarville.edu/CedarMania. The cost to attend is $30 per person and includes all workshops and activities, a T-shirt, journal and lunch.
Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution with an enrollment of 3,711 undergraduate, graduate, and online students in more than 100 areas of study.
