Get Revved Up for the Caffeine and Gasoline Car Show
A lineup of award-winning vintage cars is exactly what will be found at Caffeine + Gasoline, a car show hosted by the International Center for Creativity (ICC) in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m.
It is not every day you see a Le Mans-winning Porsche, one of the first Ferrari Portofinos in the U.S. and a lineup of award-winning vintage cars in the same lot. But that is exactly what has happened in the past at , a car show hosted by the (ICC) in Columbus, Ohio.
An annual celebration of automotive design and innovation, the event draws clubs, collectors and individual owners from across the region. The ICC leverages its industry connections to create a morning of car talk over free coffee and donuts.
The ICC partners with Cedarville University to make their industrial and innovative design program a leader in Christian higher education. At the Caffeine and Gasoline car show, students see firsthand how innovation shapes the future of automotive design.
“This is a highlight for us every year because so many ICC team members are 'car people',” said Jim Stevenson, president and co-founder of the ICC. “The event is intentionally casual, with no admittance or entry fees, no awards or trophies, no judges – just a casual gathering of cool cars, trucks and motorcycles. We teach automotive design, so this also provides students a chance to look at a diverse gathering of old and new cars and identify elements that we talk about in the classroom.”
Admission is free, and all enthusiasts are invited to bring cars, motorcycles and trucks — from classics to exotic models. Both paved lot spaces and lawn spaces will be available, with room for clubs to park together.
