Biography

If I were a CU student… I would not be afraid to go knock on the doors of the girls in my hall and say hi (I was scared of this when I was a freshman — don’t worry, I get it!) Sometimes it just takes a little boldness and trust in the Lord to give you the courage to put yourself out there and watch how He grows you AND blesses you with amazing friendships. Try to get as involved as you can while being careful not to overload yourself. Push yourself, but also put blocks in your schedule to be alone with the Lord every day. Lastly, even if you are not athletic in any way, shape, or form, try at least one intramural. I lost every game I played and still recommend it to everyone!

What is the best restaurant in the area? Rusty Taco in Beavercreek is so good! Also, my dad and I LOVE Orion’s Yellow Jacket.

What sets CU apart from other colleges and universities? Something that is really special about Cedarville’s location in the middle of the cornfields for me is that what draws students to attend is the University itself (unless they happen to be major cornfield fans), not a flashy city or palm trees. It is an amazing campus that is intentionally centered on Christ and provides every student with a Bible minor — that is rare! Cedarville doesn’t waver on what Scripture says is true, which is hard to do in our shifting sand culture. Not only that, but it also provides excellent educational and developmental opportunities that prepare our students to be stellar workers and lights for Christ.

Hometown? Huntley, Illinois

Degree? BA in strategic communication

Best place to visit around Cedarville? I love walking around downtown Columbus in the fall! There are so many coffee shops (One Line, Roosevelt, and Roaming Goat are some of my faves), fun restaurants (Brassica and Brown Bag Deli are must-tries), and you have to stop at the German Village and go to The Book Loft.

Bucket list item? To go to Italy and see where my great-grandparents grew up!
