One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

At Cedarville, your experience as an English, literature, or modern languages major won’t stop at the classroom door. You’ll step into a community that values creativity, connection, and hands-on learning — where what you study comes alive through real experiences. Whether you’re writing, learning a new language, or exploring big ideas, you’ll find plenty of ways to grow and make your voice heard.

As you have the chance to get involved in student organizations, campus publications, and service opportunities, you’ll discover that your Cedarville experience is about more than just earning a degree — it’s about preparing for your calling with confidence and purpose.

Student Organizations

Alpha Kappa Delta

AKD is Cedarville University's chapter of the International English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta. Junior and Senior students majoring in English and in Integrated Language Arts who demonstrate superior scholarship and outstanding character are inducted into the organization during the Spring semester. The organization elects new student officers every spring.

Inklings Creative Writing

The Inklings is a creative writing group for both beginning and experienced writers interested in sharing, refining, and brainstorming ideas with others. Their goal is to create a writing community for fellowship and the improvement of the members' craft. Students of all majors are welcome to participate.

Linguistics Club

The Linguistics Club is a group of students who are united in their passion for languages and Jesus. The club hosts events to connect, inform, and support students who are interested in languages and linguistics, including TESOL and Bible Translation.

Spanish Club

Spanish Club is a great way to get to know other students who are interested in Spanish and practice speaking the language! We are open to any student who is interested in improving their abilities in the language, learning about culture, and doing fun activities to build fellowship among other students and native speakers. A major or minor in Spanish is not required!
