One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Integrated Business Core (IBC)

Real-World Business Experience for Cedarville Students

The Integrated Business Core (IBC) is one of the most dynamic opportunities for business students at Cedarville University. This yearlong cohort program in the Plaster School of Business gives sophomores and juniors the chance to build, launch, and run real businesses — all while earning 12 academic credits.

Guided by experienced Cedarville professors, IBC students combine three courses in marketing, finance, and management with a three-credit practicum. The classes are exclusive sections available only to students participating in the IBC, and the cohort remains together throughout the spring and fall semesters.

What You'll Do

Working as a business cohort, you'll collaborate from concept to launch, transforming your classroom knowledge into real-world results.

  • Build a business from the ground up. Develop product ideas, create a marketing plan, and pitch to a loan committee for startup funding.
  • Launch your idea on campus. Produce, market, and sell your product in a risk-free environment designed for learning.
  • Make an impact. At the end of the course, all IBC businesses donate their profits to a charity of their choice — combining entrepreneurship with Kingdom purpose.

Through the IBC, you'll gain practical experience in teamwork, strategic thinking, and financial decision-making. You'll learn how to turn ideas into action and develop the confidence to lead in your future career.
